Analysing Covenants in Distress

A New Chapter for Fox Legal Training Students

Shortly we will be adding a new chapter to our core Leveraged Finance Covenant Training curriculum teaching students how to analyse covenants when a borrower is in distress.

The course includes our special guest Houlihan Lokey’s financial restructuring perspectives on the topic, giving attendees key crucial tips on how to stay one step ahead in this context – an advantage that has never been more important as it is in today’s volatile market.

The new chapter works together with our core curriculum and guides students through distressed covenant analysis, including:

-         preliminary considerations around capital structure, credit support, and counterparties,

-         asset sales,

-         collateral release,

-         priming debt incurrence,

-         open market purchases, and

-         amendments.

We designed the chapter to allow students to stand in the shoes of financial restructuring advisers and lawyers – rather than summarise case studies from deals that have already been done, we train our students to think like the professionals that structured them.

This approach resonates with our mission – to equip leveraged finance market professionals with the tools and knowledge to analyse covenants as part of their day-to-day role.

This sets us apart – no other service provider provides the level of training and educational support that we do, because education is our only business.

Students can contact us across multiple channels, including a dedicated email address, a student community, and on our periodic Zoom Q&As. All of this comes together with on-demand access to our online training platform and quarterly live events.

If this sounds like something your firm would benefit from, get in touch for a demo and to try out our taster course.
